I'm 18 and have the heart & mind of a child. I am on the mechanical team. This is my first year in robotics. I'm shy and have very sensetive feelings.

This is my third year in robotics. I started when I was a Sophomore of High School. Junior year I was voted in as Historian and this year I was voted in as President. I am the Webmaster for the team and the Lead Systems member. I have been apart of the Programming team and helped out with the Mechanical and Electrical teams.

My name is Christian Holstein and I'm the Secretary/Treasurer in the Cactus High School Robotics Club. I am a senior and I will be graduating in May of this year. Other than robotics, I am a member of the CHS Drama Club and was inducted in the International Thespian Society in May of 2007. I will also be participating in the Close Up Washington DC trip for the my seconbd time in early March. I enjoy robotics, but unlike the other members of this club it does not take over every aspect of my life. I am happy to be a member of this team and look forward to coming back in future years to see how the team changes and progresses.

I'm Robert Hudson and i've been a member of the Mechanical Team of robotics here for 2 years. I joined the beginning of my Junior year, and I was recruited by our current president. I like playing video games alot. Specifically, Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, and a few other RPG and FPS games. I also like to play DDR and Stepmania when I have the time. See Ya!

I am Daniel Milakovich, son of one of our mentors. I have helped the team for 5 years now, 4 while my brother was on the team and 1 while I am actually in high school now. I am a freshman yes, but if Elizabeth is gone I basically become the head of mechanical. I got into FIRST and robotics when my brother joined the club, brought me to some of the meetings, and told me all about what was happening.

Now to the "life" I have "outside" of robotics......
I am 14 years old and a freshman at Cactus High school. I was in the marching band during the fall as well as concert band and I am also in the spring concert band right now. Beyond those few sentences my life is nothing but robotics and FIRST

My name is Erin Ramirez and this is my first year as a member of Team 498. I have contributed a great deal to the team working on the Mechanical aspects of the robot. Though my work does not allow me to be there every day, I try my best to come to meetings as much as possible and to be a member of this fabulous team.

Even though I didn’t go into the engineering field, I returned after I graduated because I feel it’s important to give the students the same awesome experience I was able to get when I was in high school. This year my role as a mentor is to be on the mechanical team and teaching the students about pneumatics systems. I also am the teams D.D.R.O.O.F.P.S.D.T.C; Driver Development of Robot Operations and On Field Performance of Student Drive Team Coach, Basically the teams on field coach. Also I feel being a younger mentor I can relate to the students and help be an overall life mentor. I plan on sticking with FIRST for a long time, because of the great experiences I’ve had doing it. What can I say besides that I’m addicted to FIRST!

Now onto my real life…

I’ve cooked for celebrities, sports teams, Rock stars and political dignitaries, including Donald Trump, Mohammad Ali, Detroit Red Wings, Styx, Joan Jett, and Wayne Gretzky. Now currently I am the culinary manager for the associate restaurant where I am responsible for ordering, cooking and staffing a restaurant that serves 1000 associates daily. Needless to say I’m quite busy on top of my commitment to Cactus Robotics, but every day is a new challenge.
